Builds and/or assembles metal and wood scaffolds to provide vertical and horizontal access to the work to be performed by other craftsmen during construction or repairs.

Assists skilled craftsmen in the performance of their craft duties by performing supportive type chores as directed by the craftsman.

Applies coats of paint, varnish and other coatings to protect and/or decorate interior or exterior surfaces of equipment, piping, fixtures and structures.

Supervises a crew of painters, helpers and laborers in performing their craft functions.
